WHY CHOOSE THE X12?

Power – The X12 features a torque rise of as much as 60 percent, so it responds faster to increasing load factors even at lower engine rpm. With ratings covering 335 hp to 513 hp (250-382 kW), the X12 offers an ideal power solution for a wide variety of applications.

Power-to-Weight Leader – The X12 is designed to be compact and light-weight, meaning it delivers increased productivity and fuel efficiency. Cummins utilizes technologies, such as a composite oil pan and valve cover, to help this engine achieve a remarkably low weight of just 1900 lbs (862 kg) – it’s the lightest engine in the 9.0-13.0 L displacement range. The resulting low-weight design allows more payload to be delivered while requiring less energy to maintain than competitive designs.

Simplicity – Higher efficiency air handling and advanced combustion enable the X12 to return to the simplicity of a wastegated turbocharger and achieve near-zero emissions without the need for a cooled Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) system. As a result, internal loads on the X12 are reduced to free up extra power potential, while heat rejection is lowered by over 40 percent compared with engines using cooled EGR

Flexibility – The X12 features great flexibility for after-treatment flex modules, with numerous configurations to fit into different applications. Numerous models of this engine are also available to suit different applications’ requirements.

Validated Globally – The X12 is EU Stage V ready, as well as EU Stage IV and EPA Tier 4 Final certified, built to support your needs in any area of the world. In addition, high sulfur fuel tolerance enables the installation of the X12 globally, to support your needs in any area of the world.

Fleetguard fuel filters with NanoNet advanced media provide up to 13 times greater protection against particles 4 microns and larger. A unique patented no-filter, no run design prevents the engine from running without a filter installed.

FULLY INTEGRATED ELECTRONIC CONTROLS
A single higher-capacity Electronic Control Module (ECM) controls everything from air intake to exhaust aftertreatment, for peak performance and near-zero emissions
