Performance– The F3.8 delivers 10 percent more power and almost 20 percent more torque across the entire RPM range. Able to power a variety of light-duty applications, the Cummins F3.8 will deliver high power density with lower installed costs and better fuel efficiency.

More With Less – Get more reliability and more productivity with the F3.8 engine. With ratings from 74 – 173 hp (55 – 129 kW), this engine delivers higher performance for more machine capability.

Superior Fluid Efficiency – Not only do you get more power – you use less fuel, with total fluid efficiency (included both fuel and Diesel Exhaust Fluid) improved by up to 3 percent. Equipment used in duty cycles with frequently idling can improve fuel economy even more with Cummins Stop-Start technology.

Easier Installation – The EGR-free architecture reduces complexity, improves reliability and reduces the cooling system space claim. Multiple component options allow for easier installation and maintenance.

Reduced Complexity – Cummins latest Single Module™ aftertreatment system is 50% smaller and up to 30% lighter than current DPF/SCR systems. Higher efficiency NOx conversion allows EGR to be removed.

Validated Globally – The F3.8 is EU Stage V ready, as well as EU Stage IV and EPA Tier 4 Final certified, built to support your needs in any area of the world

VGT® TURBOCHARGER FROM CUMMINS TURBO TECHNOLOGIES
This turbocharger has variable geometry, for precision and responsiveness. The actuator is four to six times stronger than that of previous versions, for even better dependability. Electric actuation allows for infinite adjustment, providing the exact amount of boost necessary for superior response, so the X15 needs only a single turbocharger, whereas many competitive engines need two.

XPI FUEL SYSTEM FROM CUMMINS FUEL SYSTEMS
Cummins XPI High Pressure Injection (XPI) fuel system delivers superior performance, regardless of engine rpm. Multiple injection events per cycle improve fuel efficiency and enable smoother, quieter operation. Steel plungers and diamond like coated roller tappets make this the toughest XPI fuel system to date.

SINGLE MODULE™ AFTERTREATMENT SYSTEM
The compact Single Module™ aftertreatment system combines DPF, DOC and SCR in one unit which takes up 50 percent less space and weighs 30 percent less than the prior system.

CUMMINS DIESEL PARTICULATE FILTER AND SELECTIVE CATALYTIC REDUCTION
Cummins Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF), proven highly effective at Tier 4 Interim, virtually operates as a passive device, with active regeneration required less than 1 percent of operating time and no impact on equipment operation.

FLEETGUARD NANONET FUEL FILTERS
Fleetguard fuel filters with NanoNet advanced media provide up to 13 times greater protection against particles 4 microns and larger. A unique patented no-filter, no run design prevents the engine from running without a filter installed.

FULLY INTEGRATED ELECTRONIC CONTROLS
A single higher-capacity Electronic Control Module (ECM) controls everything from air intake to exhaust aftertreatment, for peak performance and near-zero emissions
