QSX for Agriculture (Tier 2)

Overview

QSX for Agriculture (Tier 2)The QSX is designed to deliver dependable, hardworking performance without compromise, every acre and every day. A unique dual overhead cam design optimizes combustion efficiency and pulling power of your 4WD tractor or scraper tractor, so you can easily handle the biggest rippers and tillage tools.

Available in a range of ratings from 350-635 hp (261-474 kW), the QSX not only meets Tier 2 emissions standards, its advanced design can reach Tier 3 requirements as well, with minimal changes. Maintenance has been consolidated so your QSX has less downtime, with extended service intervals. And the Cummins Advisor makes installing the right standard features and operating parameters easy every time.

Every QSX engine is covered by Cummins three-step warranty, one of the most comprehensive and simplest in the industry.

Specifications

The QSX high-pressure injection system and electronic controls ensure clean, powerful and efficient operation every time. Fuel is injected at pressures of up to 30,000 psi, for cleaner, more complete combustion.

The QSX torque lets you pull heavy loads up hillsides and power through tough spots without downshifting. On a scraper tractor, the QSX keeps on lugging even as the scraper fills - to keep you moving fast in tough scraping conditions.

The wastegated turbo delivers quick throttle response, yet the QSX still delivers low fuel consumption, even at maximum power (20.28 hp-hrs/gallon, according to one tractor manufacturer).

The Intebrake™ system delivers up to 500 engine braking horsepower, giving extra control to operators as it reduces brake wear and maintenance costs.

Maintenance

Maintenance Intervals

Oil drain intervals for the Cummins QSX are set for 625 hours or six months. Filters are vertically mounted for easy access and rapid changing, with no messy spills. Polyvee belts have auto-tensioners, so they never need adjusting. Plus, with the QSX you won't need to adjust the overhead until 3,000 hours.

Dipsticks and oil fills are available from both sides of the engine. And there are three drain ports available, so you never have to worry about having access to maintenance points.

For complete maintenance information, please consult your Owner's Manual or Operations and Maintenance Manual.
