Maintenance

With profit margins as tight as they are for farming, there's no time for down time. That's why every Cummins B3.9, B4.5 and B5.9 engine has been designed for reduced maintenance, with plateau-honed cylinders, an innovative ring pack design and edge-molded gaskets for significantly reduced oil consumption.

Maintenance Intervals

With Cummins B Series engines little or no top-off oil should be needed between oil changes that can be extended up to 500 hours.
